In speaking and training executives about issue management disciplines, Crane has addressed corporate audiences ranging from several hundred to a handful of key executives and boards of directors.  Through the consulting unit of her firm, Issue Management Innovators, some of the world's largest corporations have successfully adapted and implemented their own "gold standard" practices to recognize and provide leadership on stakeholder concerns.

Before being an instrumental part of the team that worked with Howard Chase to create the original Issue Management Process Model in 1977, Crane worked as a junior account execu­tive in a national public relations agency.  Her appreciation for business operations was solidified in an early position as community relations assistant to the plant manager in a Richmond, Virginia-based manufacturing firm.
