Jim Worden
established Jim Worden Associates LLC following a 28-year
career at Owens Corning where he combined the disciplines of issue management
and crisis communication into an Issue Resolution practice that successfully
resolved issues for each of the company's global business units. He was also
responsible for the formation of Owens Corning’s Global Issue Management
function in 1995. Worden served as the communications representative on the
Owens Corning Product Stewardship Council from it’s founding in 1997, until he
retired in 2007.
Worden brings more than 30 years of experience in closing
communication gaps between stakeholder expectations and company practices.
Closing gaps in communication leads to safer workers, better products and more
satisfied customers by sharing information on these complex issues with
employees, labor unions, plant communities, customers and the general public.
Since 1994, Worden has been a member of
the Issue Management Council, an international organization of issue managers,
and currently serves on its Board of Directors.
Worden received his Bachelor of General
Studies degree in history, political science and psychology from the University
of Michigan. He and his wife Ann reside in Perrysburg, Ohio. |
